Please join us for It Happened One Night, the first film in season 6 of Lincoln Theater’s Classic Film Club celebrating the Legends & Lovers of Hollywood. We are pleased to be joined at each screening by film historian and CFC host, Jeannie MacDonald, for a pre-film introduction and post-screening talkback.
Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert star in Frank Capra’s legendary rom-com, the first film to win Oscars for Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Screenplay and Director. Colbert plays Ellie Andrews, a spoiled heiress whose impestuous marriage leads her rich father to hold her hostage on his yacht. After Ellie jumps ship, a newspaperman (Gable) offers to help Ellie reunite with her husband in exchange for her exclusive story…but they find themselves falling in love instead.
Running Time: 1 hour, 45 minutes
