SHOWTIMES: Thursday May 20 @ 7 PM This event is SOLD OUT. Talking Art in Maine is a series of intimate, one on one conversations between artist, Jane Dahmen, and notable artists and curators who have made a substantial contribution to the arts in the state of Maine. They are offered free to the public. A pioneer in the field of fine art photography, Jeffery Becton creates photo montages that hover between dream and reality, interior and exterior, abstraction and representation. His book, “The Farthest House” will be available for purchase at the event.
Jane Dahmen is a contemporary realist whose recent landscapes explore the forests and coastal regions of mid coast Maine.  Her work is part of numerous private and corporate collections, and she shows her work at the Portland Art Gallery on Middle Street in Portland. She lives and works in Newcastle Maine.
